House Policies: As a responsible and sustainable business, we have established certain policies to ensure the comfort and well-being of our guests. We offer exceptional hospitality and offer personalized service to each guest. We hope these policies will contribute to an enjoyable experience during your stay with us.
Check In/Check out: We welcome guests to check in from 4:00-6:00PM. Please contact the innkeeper if a later check in is required. Check out is 10:30 AM. Please call if you need to drop off your luggage prior to check in at 4:00pm, and we will try and accommodate you the best we can.
Shoes: In order to preserve our beautiful floors throughout the house, we ask that you please remove shoes/boots upon entering the Inn…slippers or house shoes are welcomed!
Smoking: In order to preserve our historic home and the grounds, Please NO SMOKING anywhere inside the Inn or on the grounds. Please no burning candles, incense, use rose petals or the use of essential oils or diffusers of any kind. Battery powered candles are provided in each guest room for your enjoyment.
Children: Please inquire with the innkeeper if you plan on bringing children. We will accommodate children over the age of 12.
Pets: Sorry no pets are allowed in the house or on the property
Parking: Off-street parking is available on the North end of the house. Pull into the original “carriage turn-around” driveway, located off of Dover Street. Look for the “ENTER” sign.
Handicap Accessibility: The McLaren House is not wheelchair accessible. Stairs are required as all the guestrooms are located on the second floor.
Cancellation Policies: Because of the small size of our Bed and Breakfast, cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore, we adhere to strict policies for cancellations and refunds. By making a reservation, you agree to the following terms:
*Cancellations, regardless of reason must be made SEVEN DAYS prior to stay. Cancellations with less than SEVEN days notice will be charged to your credit card unless we are able to re-book the room. The McLaren House is NOT responsible for unused rooms due to late or cancelled airline flights, travel-related mishaps, threats of bad weather, or changes in plans that will shorten your stay.
